Automatic Wipers Retrofit: Is it possible on a 2006 CS?

 

Not even sure if the wiring is there, but if it is, you'd have to replace the windshield and the wiper stalk at a minimum...

 

I'd bet that would be one expensive retrofit if it's possible at all. Can I ask why you'd want to do it?

 

Actually, I think the wiring it there. At minimum you would need the sensor module, wiper stalk, and maybe computer programming.

MINI will try to sell you a new windshield. But all that you really need in the sensor module and a special tape to stick it to your current windshield. I know because I have the option from the factory and already had to replace the windshield. I went with PPG glass and we retrofitted the sensor to this windshield and it works fine.

 

I can't see that this is worth the money.....simmilar to retrofitting heated seats after the fact....(got an MC40 and could not get heated seats)
