I actually missed my Mini!

I just got back form a ten day golf trip to Hilton Head where I played 36 every day. Upon arriving home I found myself missing my Mini so I took a quick ride even though I was exhausted!

It's still fairly new for me.......will this wear off?

It happened to me too on a two week vacation. I drove my Passat (auto) and minivan (ugh; what a boat) during the vacation and could not wait to get back to my MCS.

Still waiting for mine to get on a big ship. Is it possible to miss a MINI before it even gets here?

In a sad way I think I understand.

I play in the World Am in Myrtle every year, I'm debating driving mine down next year.

We played the 3 Port Royal courses (nice)
We played Shipyard (not very good)
We played Oyster Reef (very nice)

Next year our package goes back to the Palmetto Dunes courses.

Nope it never wears off. I needed to drive the family Yukon back up to school this past week to move a bulky item that in no way would fit in the MINI. I am definitely making a special trip (210 miles each way) to go get my MINI back come this weekend.

Can't wait!

Mine's getting a hidden trailer hitch and already has a roof rack so there will be very little in my life that my S won't carry, tote, load, pull, or (ahem) "haul".

And hey - if it's not fun to drive, why own or drive it? Even our Honda Odyssey (the Mini Support Vehicle) can be entertaining, what with the suspension kit and 240 HP VTEC it's actually pretty stupid fast for what it is, and gets 20+MPG. OK I still really miss my Mini when driving any other vehicle (like the rental cars I get 3 weeks out of the month on business travel... Jeep Liberty this time... #@&% rebadged old Wrangler chassis...) but to each their own.

I left my MINI at home on the 31st of August for a new job that takes me out of state so I know how you feel. It will probably be Thanksgiving before I go back home for a few days and I am sure missing my MINI.

Last week I was in Arizona (upper 80's and sunny) for business. When I got back to Indy on Friday it was in the 40's and gusty--but not too cold to me for top-down driving! (Turn the heat up and crank those butt-warmer to high! ) When I saw my MINI in the parking lot, I couldn't wait to get in, put the top down, and go!

On Monday, one of my co-workers said to me, "I was entering airport parking on Friday, and I saw this crazy woman speeding away in a MINI convertible WITH ITS TOP DOWN! I couldn't believe it! I was FREEZING and there you were, driving away in the cold and smiling!"

I just smiled.

(not "butt-warmer" - it's "bun-warmer"...)

Friend of mine said the same thing about my wife in her Cabrio leaving the elementary school, top-down with the bun-warmers and heat on...

:D

Thanks for the correction.
I wonder if in the UK it's called a "bum-warmer"?

Anybody? Anybody?

trust me. It never stops. I had to have some things done to Cherry and it only took 2 days! But I still missed her and she missed me to.

You guys are right. I've had "Spurgeon" for 2 years this month. I still itch to be out motoring. Sometimes I walk out of work into the parking lot just to walk around him. Yeah, call me crazy, but I just like being near the car.
