Vinegar worked on top!

I've had a white mark on my cabrio top for six months (since a guard house gate came down and smashed on my top) and tried many different things to get it off. Today I asked my wife if she thought a little black shoe polish would hide the mark - and she suggested I try some vinegar first.

I was skeptical - I'd tried a lot of cleaners, etc. - but gave it a shot. It worked! Just a tiny bit on a rag and a little rubbing and the mark came right off. A rinse with some clear water and my top is nice and black again!

Nice lead, thanks. No MINI on their ragtop charts, though.

May I recommend checking with the nice people at Detailers Paradise? They sell several brands of convertible cleaner and sealer....
