Two MINI's in one garage?

We have a 2005 MC currently and are on the verge of getting a 2006 MCS. This would mean that we would only own MINI's and no other car. Anybody else out there that have done this and are you glad you did?

We have 42 MINIs in and around our house, all diecast, several are rc cars...
and one full size, '05 E-blueS in the garage. Looking to buy a Traveller-S all wheel drive (I hope) when they hit the states.

You could always borrow a friends truck or something if you need to haul anything big. Go for it if you want it!

We will always keep our Van. With two kids and parents always visiting we need the van.

On the other hand in 2008 I would be seriously tempted by the longer mini with the half doors added and the bigger trunk.

We had two MINIs in our garage up until July...then 1 got totalled. Hopefully in a week, our new MINI will soon arrive and keep our other MINI company.

We love the extra space in our garage..and so do our dogs, they love having more room to run around.

Two Coopers

Bought a used MINI as a daily driver this past weekend 2002 MC CR Love it !
My wife's MINI is a 2005 MC AB Convertible - love driving that one too, but prying her fingers off the steering wheel is . . . awkward.

The gallery shows more pics, including one with my old daily driver lurking in the background. 1999 Saturn - 230K Mi

I'll be adding a MCS with JCW to my 02 Coooper, and then the clubman in 08.

After I pay off my 05 MCS, I may go with a second... :-) I wouldn't want to drive ANYthing else. Within reason, of course.

We've had two MINIs in the garage for 4 months now. Love them and can't imagine life without them now. But... I also can't imagine life without the SUV that is parked outside. In these past four months, we've had at least half a dozen occasions arise when we needed the Infiniti for some reason or another.

Life with JUST the MINIs ? I'd say "fun but challenging".

We had a new JCW convertible for a weekend in addition to my MCS. It was great. Got to drive around and "rally" with my father in the convertible. I say that if you are going to be a more than one MINI household, make them different. For example, I could see getting a new traveller as a "utility vehicle". Or a MC convertible as a weekend driver in addition to my MCS hardtop.

There's been two MINIs in my garage since Feb.27 - our Subaru Forester is relegated to outside parking. I'm hoping when the Traveller comes out, to ditch the Forester and be able to go back to just two cars again. Driving the Forester is soooooo boring.

We have two MINI's, but the garage is filled to the ceiling with cats, so they MINI's have to stay outside until we can do a little bit of remodeling.

We do have a small truck/suv thing that almost never gets used. If we were smart, we would sell the truck and just plan to rent a jeep or other similar vehicle on the rare occasions that we need one.

That's me to a T. We only have two MINI's in our garage. Used to have two Subaru's but traded both those in for MINI's. The wife has a PW '06 MCS purchased in May, and I have a Space Blue MCS purchased in August. The best thing we ever did. MINI's suit our needs perfectly and give a lot more room in the garage. Go for it!

I also have been a Rush fan starting in either 1976 or 1977, and the first time I went to use my first name as a user name and it said that cal was taken but I could have cal136 or something like that I said hey, I will go with cal2112 seeing as that was the first Rush album I had really heard.

Thanks all for the input, I am thinking we will go with two MINI's, one MC and one MCS. Might be a challenge, but as said I can borrow a friends truck or rent a car if needed. Life is about having fun right?

Well we did it! We are now a 2 MINI family. A 2005 MINI Cooper Chili Red / Black and a 2006 MINI Cooper S Space Blue / Silver Checkmate package. What fun, what fun.

We've been a two MINI family for over a year. My wife's MCC arrived in mid-November '04 to replace a '97 Chevy S10 Blazer. I got hooked on her car and the following July I ordered an MCS for myself and ditched an '04 Avalanche for it in Sept '05.

We had been driving SUVs/trucks for 19 years and have honestly only needed to borrow one twice in the past year, so we don't miss them. I never would have guessed we would have become so attached to "cars" and give up trucks for good

Here is our garage. The MINIS stay protected, but the bohemith Trailblazer hogs the driveway.
