Hey that's me!. Get the nuts from the parts department of any MINI dealership (don't know if this is a regularly stocked item, so they may have to order them). Or improvise with whatever nuts you can find at the hardware store.

What did you do with the one that came off you factory grill? You should just be able to use those, they thread themselves on the the plastic posts that stick out the back of the new Aero Grill.

You are speaking of installing the Aero Grill, right? That looks to be the one in the picture.

you can't reuse the "nuts" that hold in the original grill.

go to the parts dept at the dealer and tell 'em what you need. if it's a good parts dept they'll help you out. if not you can try and hunt it down at realoem.com for the part # and then go to the parts dept w/ the part #... good luck.

Hmmm. that's odd. I haven't heard of any issues with the upper aero geill being a different shape. I know there is a difference in shape between the middle grills.

Do you mind if I ask where you got them? and if they are OEM?

If for some reason you can't get it to fit by this weekend PM me and maybe we can meet up this weekend so I can take a look. But the nuts you have should work. they should make thier own threads into the new posts as you screw them down.

If i recall, www.myminiparts.com
sold OEM grills so the self tapping nuts you have should work. But if you think you are having real issues with it I would contact them.
