a mini to match my maglite...

I just realized that I ordered a car to match my Maglite®

Well, not really, but I just noticed that my Maglite is Hyper Blue, like the Mini I have on order. I even held it up to the Hyper Blue color swatch in the Mini brochure and it is a pretty close match. Also, the Maglite is indeed called a "Mini Maglite" (see photo). If that's not destiny, I don't know. I was beginning to wonder about the Hyper Blue dash, but I guess it was a good call. I think this flashlight might even be mini enough to fit in the armrest.

Okay, I'm obviously bored, and as you can tell, don't have my Mini yet... otherwise I would be out motoring... not taking pictures of flashlights. Two more long weeks.

Don't worry. This type of behavior is perfectly normal during "The Wait". You have a lovely flashlight.

I;ve seen those super-rare, to this day I kick myself for not picking it up they look sweet!

I know its a little "out there" but I use all of the maglites I have regularly, it never hurts to shed a little light on things from time to time.

I too had the HB Maglite years before my HB MCS, however it does now reside in the MCS glovebox.

It's funny the odd bits of irony and fate you find regarding your MINI. My mom does the newsletter for a local credit union and for the May issue did an article on special new-vehicle financing. For an image to accompany the article she selected a MINI (Indy Blue/ White) with European plates. She finished the newsletter in April and sent it off to the press. However in May I returned to the US after living in Europe and bought my MINI (Space Blue S model but close enough). I thought it was funny when a few days after getting back to the states, while waiting to go pick up my car I recieved the newsletter in the mail. My mom had no idea that the car she chose was a MINI (despite saying so on the plates) and chose it simply because the car matched the color scheme of the brochure and was eye-catching.

IF, and that's a big IF, you can fit that Maglite into the armrest of your MINI, I can pretty much guarantee you that you'll get nothing else in there.

Ever seen inside one of those armrests ? I keep my sunglasses and a flat pack of Dentyne in there. That's it.

Ditto on the flat pack of Dentyne, currently "Fire". How long did it take before you realized the lid pops open after you slide it back all the way?

Not to worry...you may get worse before you get better, which is perfectly normal!!!

If it's any consolation, I purposefully bought a mag light to match my IB/W Cooper, a pair of OXO dusters to match (even though I had a pair of perfectly good California dusters), and a pair of Vans to match. I have also painstakenly Photoshopped several famous MINI promo photos and drawings to make the cars IB/W instead of the colors they originally were. Then there's my collection of IB/W diecast Coopers....

Ha ! Took me about three weeks to realize the lid pops up.

Yep, Dentyne Fire... the only way to go. If we have the same designer shades, I'm going to get a little !

I think you need to "pre order" those,
...Pay a premium
...and is that a current model year color for MAGLIGHT
...some stores are even selling without mark-up

The maglight aftermarket could help with the stripes

speaking of flashlights, what is the brightest not too expensive flashlight one can buy, preferably at a store where I can try it out rather than buying someplace online...LED or incandecent....( I don't care about the color, but a chil red would be cool)

LEDs are generally birghter draw less power and last longer. HOwever I killed my LED in 5 months of use, where as my MAGLIGHT has survived 15 years of far worse abuse (and led me to be a 5 time repaeat customer and reccomend them countless times), LEDs are brighter and cost about the same (little more but when you search you can find deals), but I can count on my MAGLIGHT working. MAGLIGHT should be coming out with and LED sometime soon, according to their website. ANd some LED websites offer a LED converstion kit that has caught my intrest, but I am still yet to try.

Or you could just paint your MINI pink? But I suppose geting a hb maglite is cheaper than painting a MINI .
