SCRUBS: amazing general cleaning wipe

I ran across this item at work, it's really a hand-cleaning towelette: ITW Dymon SCRUBS in-a-Bucket. It's an amazing hand-cleaner if you use it just for that, but I've been using it on the interior, and I was surprised how well it did on plastic and, yes, even leather surfaces. It has a slight plasticky abrasive feel, but it's actually pretty gentle on shiny or knobbly plastic.

I started using it to just touch up some black shoe marks on the door interior, and I didn't want any abrasive or harsh chemicals, and after some light scrubbing, it took everything right off and left the finish perfectly shiny. I tried it a little later on the cordova leather in an out-of-sight spot, and it was like magic - the leather looked brand new. It lets you scrub hard if you need to without damaging anything I could see. No residues, and it has a conditioner in it for your hands that seems to go well with my leather. For a quick and thorough cleaner, I'm sold.

It runs about 15 or 16 bucks for 72 wipes, and it's available online at a number of industrial outlets. Anyone else try this stuff?

I've seen it on the web at some industrial supply places like Fastenal, or Food Service Direct, but they sell cases of 6, I think. A web search oughta find someone local. Good luck!

Interesting. For cleaning with mild detergent, I use a spray bottle with diluted soap.

Free.

Like all shade-tree-ers, yeah, I use that, too, but Scrubs cuts down on the elbow grease. Why sweat it?

Good find Vanwall!

Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer in spray or towelette form works great for removing scuff marks, as well as general cleaning off all interior surfaces. Best of all it leaves a fresh lemon scent behind, and it is a pretty inexpensive product.

oh, i was just trying out the OperaMini. no worries.
i use Griots Interior Cleaner and MF towel to clean interiors.
also try Griot's SpeedShine to remove scuff marks. found it
to work very well. althought not its intended purpose,
but nor was Scrubs... nice find though!
