service agreement: different owner

I think I know the answer to this noob question, but thought I'd ask anyway.
I recently inherited my beautiful 2005 HB/W Mini from my dad. I assume that the service agreement doesn't transfer and I'll have to pay for servicing?
Also, to make the situation worse, I live in a different state, so I'd have to bring the car into a different dealer.

thanks,

Doesn't matter - the 3 yrs/36K miles of service and 4yrs/50K miles warranty follow the car, not the buyer. I bought mine used in VA, had it serviced (at no cost) in CA.

from what I was told when I bought mine is that the warranty and service agreement follows the VIN# so you should be good to go!

This is my 2nd Mini (used)

I can vouch for the warranty issue...Both my used MC and MCS were both repaired/serviced under warranty.

The repairs were minor but amounted to a substantial $$ am't (a new HU due to a few burned leds) + the mini dealer performed the services needed under warranty....cost to me was NADA

I graduated college before the latest playmate was born, so don't fret.
That whole 'free service, long warranty' thing is a revelation.
