Anyone tried the new Nitto race tires yet?

And if so, how are they? Will they fit on my s-lites?

If you are referring to the NT01, yes, I'm running 205/40/17s now. The load rating is a bit low for a MINI in that size but I've had no issues. I began with them unshaved, but once they're were slick, they're really good. I can't say that they are better than the TOYO RA1's but they're at least as good. On a MINI, they last a long time. I have 6 2-day events on mine and I just had them flipped on the rims in hopes of getting one or two more events in this year. I have a set of RA1s waiting so once I switch, I'll be able to provide a good comparison of the two.

Thanks for the post Vader, I look forward to the comparison review with the RA1's when you've tried them too.

Update:

I ran the Toyo RA1s, heat cycled, unshaved this past weekend on a familiar track. After the initial run, It felt like I was running the same lap speeds as with the slick Nittos. The full tread was a little weird (squirmy) under heavy breaking but just as grippy in the corners. If they progress as the Nittos did as the tread wears away, then I expect them to be better than the Nittos. I was unable to switch from on tire to the other in the same day, but I expect to do that same day comparison in two weeks. Until then...
