Installing a factory cd player in 03 MCS

Hello,

I am one of the weird people who received a MCS with a cassette deck. I picked up a '02 MCS factory cd player and I am wondering before I take apart the car apart, if I need a code for it from the dealer to have it work in my car. I would hate to put it in and have no tunes for the weekend. Thanks

Ben

I don't think you need a code. I swapped an '04 head unit for an '05 head unit and both worked fine in the other MINI.

It's easy enough to test it out though. It should only take you about 5 to 10 minutes to swap the units.

PM me if you want instructions.
