What are these and how do I get RID of them ?

I have the MINI nav and I have grey "target" circles on the map.
I think they are past or current destinations???
I have cleared the past destinations and got rid of darn near all my address book.
They are still there and they bug me.

Any help ?

That is a great question. I have them on mine as well. They are not previous destinations. I have traveled to a few to determine what they are and the ones I have gone too appear to be nothing. One was on a two lane road with nothing but cow pastures on either side???

I think that they are supposed to be either "town centers" or municipal facilities - that is, places to go to find a cop or fireman or something of that sort. Often, in my area, they correlate well with this theory - but occasionally they signify nothing.

Bill

ps - and I can't get rid of them either.....

YES ... I AN NOT ALONE !!! or carzy !

Today I input an intersection and then deleted it. and it does not show the "target"... so there goes my orig theroy.

Some areas ther seem to be 2 or 3 of them.

I didn't want to admit it earlier , but I did track one down and ... well ... there I was. nowhere :impatient

Don't quote me on this but they may be from past searches or older destinations. One thing that I find annoying about the nav is that after a search, the little search criteria icons stay there until the next search.

So if I search for a shopping center, it will show the shopping cart on the map for every location. And that shopping cart stays there until I do another search for something else, say a restaurant, at which point I have forks and knives all over my screen.

It might have something to do with that.

With help from others here, they are not past searches.:impatient

You can get rid of the other icons...
Just go back into "information" and you will have an option to "disable icons"
That will remove the shopping cart, bank, restaurant, etc icons
