Others Do It!

I have a Racing Dynamics bar from Moss, and when I put it on over a year ago, everyone said the bonnett would settle with time.Well it didn't,and two weeks ago I put on an Alta CAI,and it raised the bonnett even higher!A few people told me to spray water on the insulation, where it contacts the bar,put a towel on the bar,and close the bonnett. It's supposed to compress the insulation.(Of course I found out AFTER I trimmed away some insulation and painted black on the exposed part!)The question about the water trick is,how long to keep the bonnett closed to squish the insulation!?

^^^ I had the same experience. I left my hood closed for two days after doing the soak & slam mod.
