I have been reading your updates regarding the HS mini you are campaigning. I have been looking for an exhaust for a while not and can't decide which one to go with. After hearing that you used the MyMini I was sold on the Sport model, but then I noticed that your later test of the Milltek had better power gains (assuming I read the numbers correctly). All i care about is weight and low/mid range torque gains as I prep my MC for STS (where I will probably never win cause of the frankencivics).
So is the MyMini Sport exhaust the king for autocross applications or should I be looking elsewhere?

The MyMINI and Milltek systems are close..the Milltek makes a little more power (with everything else being stock) while the MyMINI is lighter. Honestly, the addition of an intake or STS-legal header could change these results drastically!
That said, if you want subdued, go for the Milltek. Little raspy: MyMINI. I've gone back and forth and currently have the Milltek as my wife drives the car daily 60+ miles.

Thanks for the info. I like the fact that the MyMini is lighter and less expensive. I am not sure I will get anything other than a dropin filter anytime soon, but i will probably go with a flash (either GIAC or MTH). I am not aware of any STS legal headers yet and MTH is not a big fan of CAIs.
I guess since there is no telling which exhaust will work better with a flashed ECU, i will go with the lighter & cheaper one.
