Charlotte Zaino Clinic Sat 11/11
Charlotte Zaino Clinic Sat 11/11
The Detail Clinic has been cancelled
I just received word from Steve Treece that our next M2C2 Zaino detailing clinic will be Saturday 11/11.
What: Zaino Clinic
When: 9:00 AM Nov. 11th (Rain or Shine)
Where: Import Paint and Body Shop
6173 E. Independence Blvd.
Charlotte, NC
This is a M2C2 member only event and will be our 5th one in Charlotte. We will only have room for 14 MINIs. As always we will be inside at Import Paint and Body in Charlotte thanks to Loren Koski, M2C2 member and owner of Import Paint and Body. The clinic will be run by Steve Treece of Carolina Shine. Most of you know Steve as the local Zaino distributor.
This is a full participation clinic featuring Zaino Bros' Show Car
Polish. Each participant will learn how to use clay bar on his/her own
car and they apply the appropriate Zaino polish(s). The most cars we can handle would be 14. Lunch will be provided free for the participants.
You will need to bring the following:
One towel for use while using clay bar
Enough towels to dry the car one time
At least one towel to use with Z-6
At least one towel for polish removal
All of the Zaino products will be available for purchase the day of the
event. We ask that you purchase your products from Steve at the detail clinic. This is how Steve is able to provide the clinic to us, the location and the lunch at no cost other than product. If you haven't used Zaino before, you should expect to spend $70 to $90 dollars depending on whether you have a light colored car or a dark one.
Also available at the clinic from Steve are micro fiber towels manufactured by DF Towel. The
fabric for these towels is made in Italy, and shipped to the U.S where
they are made into towels. Zaino has recently endorsed the use of these
with his polish products.
Please post if you want to be added to the list.

Please put me on the list, George, and thanks for organizing this. Thanks too to Steve for 'nurturing' newbies like me! ;-)

Addendum to the "What to Bring" list above: You will need a 16oz. or greater capacity spray bottle for use with clay bar.
There will be a "Special Event Only" pricing on DF Towels. Many of you have these towels and can attest to their high quality. Towels purchased for use on the event date will be pre-washed and ready for your use. Pricing info to follow.
Got any paint chips or dents/dings or upholstery (vinyl or leather) tears? Dependant upon response, I may be able to get professional paint touch-up, paintless dent removal and upholstery repair vendors for your convenience. These services would not be limited to participants, but available to observers as well. Please PM me ASAP so we can get an idea of the interest.
If you have attended one of these clinics before, please give preference to newbies.
Look forward to meeting some new folks!

Guys,
We've talked before about having other guest services available during these clinics such as Paintless Dent Repair or Mobile Wheel Repair. None of these services overlap with what Steve does.
I've used David Moore with Dent Demon, and he did a spectacular job and let me watch the entire process. He will give our club a deep discount.
Would we like him to be invited to offer PDR at a discount to anyone in need?
Let me know, and I'll invite him.

MINICHI has a "good":-( dent in her, however, there are more to come b/c she's a victim of the CPCC parking lot for another year, so I'll pass this time and go with PDR sometime after next May, and the wifey and I have finally learned alloy wheels are not curb feelers so we're okay there!
Besides, my lunch money will be gone by the time I buy all the Zaino and towels I need...

You're welcome to stop by. If things go as usual, we should probably finish by about 3 that afternoon. There is a limitation on the number of participants we can accomodate, but others are certainly welcome to come by.

Hi George,
A timely event.
Count me in for two MINI's.
MiniTiger, MiniGamer
Liquid Yellow/Black and Indy Blue/White
We'll also need dent removal. The IB/W has a small dent behind rear wheel.
See y'all then.

Just a reminder to all: Buy your Zaino supplies from Steve at the event--don't order them online ahead of time. He will have plenty, and supporting Steve's business makes these things worth-while.
Steve, George and T'zan -
I haven't seen you guys in a while, but just happen to currently need all of the following:
)
I will happily participate if we can get some of these additional 'guest services providers' involved. I promise to make it worth their $Time$ !!
In any case, Thanks for organizing the event.

- Heck, I even need my windshield fixed from a stone hit!

This sounds fantastic! But, as I already know how to use the Zaino, I'll skip signing up for the actual clinic for now. (If there's still a spot closer to the date, I'll sign up)
BUT! I'll definitely stop by, because I need a new clay bar and some more z6

Can you put me down for one car, pending a double check of my schedule.
My car has been neglected this summer since I moved in July. I was either packing before or doing miscellaneous projects at the new place.

So, I have some small MF towels. What sizes do we need for this? I am wondering if I should buy some more.
I am assuming bringing cash to the event will be fine for purchases?
I have never used Zaino before, is all the application by hand and how much prep should I do beforehand? As I said I have not been able to keep up this summer and I hate looking at my car now but I wonder if I might need to apply some mild cleaner to get it how I would like it.
I guess a general rundown of what will go on would be helpfull and probably answer most of my questions. Like I said I ahve never used Zaino, but I have seen some cars around here that have and they look awesome so I think I am ready to give it a try.
