Installing factory MC radio into Lotus Elise

I really like the radio in my 2006 MCS. It is far better than the Blaupunkt MP54 Acapulco radio in my Lotus Elise. I would like to know if it is possible to hook up a used Mini radio in my Lotus. Advice is welcome. Thanks!

Mike

Mike, you shouldn't have any problems as long as you have the wiring diagrams for both head units and the security code for your MINI head unit.

Hopefully your Lotus dealer gave you the tool that Blaupunkt supplies to remove the MP54 - otherwise you may have to improvise a bit. Your Elise should have been delivered with the Blaupunkt shipping box in the trunk. All packaging/manuals/tools/etc assocated with the head unit should be in this box.

Hope this helps...

Mike:

Did you get the Mini headunit to work in the Lotus? I am about to install one in my 87' Porsche Carrera.....
