Just announced:

Targeted at Mini and Cooper S autocross and track applications
Front 225/40-16 clears strut and fender on OE 16x6.5 wheel
Rear 215/40-16 same OD as 225/40-16

(specs on dimensions to come once they arrive)

This setup is the same overall diameter front and rear. The 215's allow for a little more "tail happy" auto crossing!

Good baseline pressures
Front = Low 40's
Rear = 40 -50 lbs depending on personal preference.

I expect this combo to work VERY well, and the are being air freighted to us due in the next week.
Call me to order, initial quantities will be limited.

For almost $200.oo/tire, they ought to work VERY,VERY well! They also ought to do it for a LONG, LONG time...

 

Not bad for competition tires.

 

Unfortunately the better they grip the shorter they last. Just the way it goes with racing tires.

 

Well, Kumho V710 sure last longer than Hoosiers, and IMO grip better than most all of them for cheaper.

 

Depends on the surface you run on... Our our venue's surface last year, V710's were dead after 4 events, and so were the HooHoos... Only thing that lasted a full season for us was Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. RA-1's will also hang in there a full season...

This season, they've mixed up the venues so people are getting more life out of their tires...

 

Next time you run your V710's for 4 events, I'll take dibs on them. :-)
