Hankook Z214 is suprisingly good

no, i do not have a sponsorship with hankook, but i took some lightly used Hankooks out to my track day today, and it was great...

the only r-compound i can compare to is the V710, so far, grip levels when cold the V710 is better, but once warmed up, the hankook hits its strides hard, and it seems to have better warnings than the v710 before it really gets messy...

i notice the sidewalls on the Z214 are harder than the v710..... maybe that is just my imagination, im running the C50 compound, which is medium, so far they are wearing alright, not great like an RA1, but then the Z214 med seems to be a good balance between someone who does a bit of both autox and track work... V710 goes wayyy too fast for me on the track, and i cant seem to find the perfect way to drive them in the autox...

im going to try to make a large autox before i have to put the z214 away for the winter... let's see how they do in autocross, but so far, i got nothing but praises for the Z214.... might be worth a look for anyone looking for a r-compound
