MTTS Indi Video (Problem?)
MTTS Indi Video (Problem?)
Several MTTS participants met me in St. Louis and Indi and asked about the video camera stand on my dash, and I couldn't recall the vendor.
It was bought from I/O Port of Lafayette, CA. Cost about $109 w/ shipping.
It can be seen here.

However, back at the ranch, I am trying to capture the video (in HD or regular) to a server and cannot find software that will properly recognize the camera. A Sony HDR-HC3. My previous camera (a later Sony) worked flawlessly. The Sony website offers no help. I am using Windows Movie Maker Version 5.1, yet the current release is 2.1? And they claim on their site that the 2007 version will support HD.
I am technically skilled but have no expertise in this niche area. But guess I need a new driver?
Any help to identify the correct software would help. (Already have the computers, IEEE cables, etc.

It was nice meeting you during the event, Robert.
I can't help you out regarding specific drivers needed to make the Windows Movie Maker recognize the camera, but if you can't get it figured out, I'd be happy to lend you my Powerbook. If those trendy commericals are correct, I'd be willing to bet that iMovie could recognize your camera.
Doesn't help in the long run, but I want to get my hands on that footage.

I second that! I want to have a copy too as Robert was following me on the lap! I am also an Apple guy so I can't help with the camera. My guess is that the MS movie software will have to be updated so you can use the camera.
I think I have it sorted. But waiting on comm. version of software as this trial ver. doesn't handle HD. ANd I had to turn the camera's IEEE port on. DOH.
On hold right now, be back in 2-3 days. Will post video then. ALl the best for now.
Robert
ps Not bad meeting you guys either!

Hey Scooby,
Count me in on a copy too if you're willing to make one for those that asked. If there's any cost involved, let me know.
Great meeting you too. Oh! Austin loved your voice, he had never heard an English accent before.
