Official: My MINI runs great thread.

Since 'mini2di4' posted this thread I think there should be a thread for all those who have MINIs and havn't had a problem with it yet. I'm thinkin a continuous count for all the people who havn't had any major problems with their MINIs, nothing that a simple fuse couldn't fix or somethng to that extent.

Jeremy,
Great idea!! As a new mini owner I want to hear the good stuff...not the "my mini is a lemon" posts, the stuff that causes nightmares and makes me nervous beyond belief! Lets hear the good stuff and nothing else!!

My SES light came on a few times for like a day or 2 but other than that no problems in 21000 miles and a little more than a year of ownership.

No problems here, 20000kms and counting, 05 Cooper 5spd.

Yeah believe it or not, there are tons of people with next to no problems with there MINIs out there, they just don't bother posting on a forum!

19K here and no major problems. I haven't had any of the problems that some have had here. Hope I haven't jinxed myself!

My 2003 MCS runs great and has never had any drivetrain problems whatsoever, just a faulty brake caliper that was eventually fixed under warranty.

but my wife's 2006 Cooper, coming up on its first birthday in a month, has been absolutely PERFECT in every way for 8000+ miles!

Well, I had to replace my wiring harness at about 60K miles or so, but that was the major thing in my 2002. No tranny problems whatsoever like everybody else claims...

And I think the fact that it's over 100,000 miles and only that problem makes it a champ in my eyes!

100,850 miles and running like it was born yesterday (minus the break-in period.) hehe.

Take care,
Leo.

My 03 MC runs as good as the day I got it, over 3 years and 78k+ miles ago. I have had big and small issues, all were fixed. The worst thing happened in June, blew the left rear tire on a gravel road, went into a 10 foot deep ditch filled with brush. One very wild ride, and no I did not see my life flash before my eyes, to busy trying to control the car with only 3 wheels.
After plowing down 50 ft of bushes and small trees, the MINI had a punched in radiator, all the black plastic trim ripped off and the whole car scratched up. I figure almost any other car or truck would have rolled over, but the tough little guy stayed on his feet, and kept me safe. He looks like new now, new trim and paint, new bumper covers, new radiator.

It was not Pocos fault that a screw was in the tire, but it gave me even more confidence in that wonderful little car

I've had my '05 Mini for about a year. I have somewhere near 12,00 miles on it with no problems whatsoever. My biggest problem is that I had one tank of gas get less than 30 MPG!

My leased '03 MCS had a noisey supercharger which was replaced immediately. After that, only a couple of tiny problems (DSC/ABS sensor replaced) that waited until routine servicing. Call me nuts, but I'd consider that pretty good for 36K miles. Granted, my '06 JCW MCS only has 3,900 miles on it, but no problems here!

I would not have purchased my second MINI had I been concerned. These folks who claim to have replaced parts numerous times... like windsheilds... I just don't get it. Do they tailgate every dump truck they come upon?

Bought my '02 MCS in June of '05 with 9k miles. It's a plain jane, no packages, nothin', not even cruise control.

It's now August of '06 and it has 30k miles.

It's been on 1,200 mile round trips many times. It's been on 2,500 mile road trips a couple of times. It's been on 800-1000 mile road trips several times.

Zip failures, zero, nada. (and Murphy can go pound salt! ) My windshield is somewhat starry, but so's the windshield on my wifes '99 4Runner with 110k miles. So I'm used to it. Who cares.

The MINI is fun, fast, fun, quick, fun, cool, fun and mine is reliable to boot!

Hah! I think I'm gonna go for a drive.

.....Les
