Greenville August lunch and drive 8/26/06

The Greenville chapter is gathering for lunch at The Steakhouse Cafeteria in Walhalla at noon this Saturday August 26. The Steakhouse is a classic "meat-and-three" well known for their delectable fried chicken. We'll go for a drive up into the mountains when we're finished eating.

The Steakhouse is located at 316 East Main Street in Walhalla. It's on the left hand side of the street in the first block of downtown as you come up SC 28. If you come into Walhalla on 183, turn left at the Main Street light and go two blocks. There's an antique mall across the street with large lot where we can park.

If the the folks from the Greenville area and beyond would like to drive up to Walhalla together, let's meet in the parking lot of Lowe's on US 276 (Poinsett Hihghway) near the North Pleasantburg intersection at 10:30 AM. We'll motor up 276 to SC 11 and then on to Walhalla. That's the quickest and most scenic route. We can arrange a rendevous point with the Easley/ Liberty MINIacs if anyone's interested. Just let me know at greenville@m2c2.org and we'll arrange a time and place to meet up.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you Saturday!

Sounds like fun. Count me in. I'll be motoring up from Seneca/Clemson area so if anyone wants to meet up just PM me. Can't wait to meet the group.

I'm in. How long do you think it will take to get from Lowes to the Steakhouse?

Mapquest says an hour +, but that is going thru Easley, etc. I would say going out 11 it maybe ~~50 min or so. That's a pretty fer piece.

I have to work for a couple hours in the morning, but I will try to be there by lunch.

It'll take a little over an hour to drive to Walhalla from Lowe's. I've can get there from my house in Taylors in an hour/70 minutes if the traffic is favorable. Of course, we'll be driving a bit slower than I usually do.

Guessing no one else is still up even though it's Friday night, but I'm still up and excited about the event tomorrow. Always nice to stretch my MINI's legs a little bit, plus what could possible be bad about lunch. Food + motoring = euphoria .

I'm up, giving you a little ride on 10/7 that'll REALLY stretch your Mini's legs! Wish I could join you guys tomorrow, but I'm working on a kitchen remodel. Keep it rubber side down, and have fun!

2nd that. It was great to meet everyone (some again). Definetly great roads up there. Hopefully we can do another run soon (maybe next month?)
