An alternative to a car cover...

Ok, I thought this was really funny when I first saw it so I figured I post it. It's like a little bubble for your car! Very clever!

I've seen those before in person! They are pretty neat, but I think someone would pop it.

my local Carbotique sells those. i hear some of them have dehumidifiers
built into them so can be used in humid locations.

in chicago winters, no need as the air is so dry it'll probably crack your
tires. jk

where I live, someone would set it on fire and everyone from ages 2-90 would come outside and laugh.

no joke

looks like a good idea though if you dont have a wife or neighbors or connected retinas to see that on your property.

Car covers = rust rott in my opinion where this one has air room. I jsut say get a car port though. That is what I actually want but cannot get in a place like Long Island

If you add a couple of bags of styrofoam pellets and a bigger fan, you can have a MINI snowglobe!

You might even fit 2 MINIs in there!

I was thinking of getting one of these for my MINI as an early Christmas gift. I have indoor parking for my baby but it is in a building that has dust and this way I won't have to worry about it being filthy when I am ready to drive in the spring.

That thing is pretty cool.

El Jefe, instead of a car port pick up a 12' x 12' portable canopy and park your car under it. I live in Huntington and I know what you mean about neighbors setting things ablaze

Yeah, at our local Ford dealer, there is a sweet Ford GT, in a bubble like that.

Only if you dress them for Christmas 1st. Maybe a Mini wreath for each?

You know...this might be a viable option for me. I have no access to my garage (it's full of my hubby's CRAP), but I do have access to the concrete RV pad that's next to the garage and behind a gate big enough to roll a car through. I'm not really in love with the idea of using a car cover every night...this would be a nice alternative. I'd be curious to see how much of a pain in the a$$ it is first though...

That is too cool. Since I don't have a garage (now a TV room for kids), it has some appeal. First my wife would kill me, second I'd worry about it being popped.

OH my GOSH! I have to get one of those!
That is the coolest thing I have ever seen.

$360 For a giant bubble to protect the
MINI. I love it. I wonder if they would
do a group buy kind of thing...

Those bubbles are cool. I admit that they are somewhat comical too, but they're meant for long term indoor storage of show cars (or occasional use cars). It's a bit of a pain to erect these things. I've considered getting one for my Camaro.

seriously!

Biccio - i tried to get to the URL on the side of the MINI "toy box" (megamini.il). no go?? It'd be quite a toss up between the two...

this?

or...

this?

Of course, I'd still only use inside a garage or car show. what a "kid magnet"... (neat though)
