WTF Cooper Flags?

EDIT: read before telling me I should have contacted him!!!

TO all who say that I should give an email first, I DID!!! I asked why the money hadnt been taken out, and never got en email back.

And I was not bashing Cooper Flags, I hear good things, so thats why I went to him. WTF, if kinda a joke, I just wanted answers, not to kill a mans buisness.

I ordered the cooper swoop/bonnett stripe thing. Last thursday(the 10th) and I didnt expect it to be here or anything, but, No money has come out of my checking account. If no money came out then No stripe sent, Correct? I just want my stripe, I was wondering if this happened to anyone else?

I'd just make a phone call on Monday. I know Ed makes most everything custom as ordered, so it can take a week or so for the stripes to be completed and sent.

Although my mind is not what it used to be, I believe I remember the same thing happening when we ordered stripes for my wife's Cooper last fall. I ordered them and a week or so later the charge went through on my card when they were shipped. I thought it was nice that he didn't charge the card until he finished the order.

I'd be willing to bet that the charge will go through early this next week and you'll have your stripes.

When I ordered my bonnet stripes and roof graphic from Cooper Flags, it took several weeks before they were ready. Fortuntately I live close enough to Ed and he personally installed them himself.

Sometimes, but not all the time, he will also print several copies of the same thing, just in case the install gets messed up. It took him 2 tries to get my bonnet stripes right (he is a perfectionist when it comes to doing the installations).

Just give Ed a call and he will square you away. CooperFlags is a top notch vendor...no need to worry. They did my custom roof flag...just check my gallery.

No worries and happy motoring!

I would think that most Mini owners would have the decency to at least drop an email or make a phone call to Cooper Flags before starting a thread with such a title.

I guess it's a good thing I'm not a business owner because if someone started a "WTF" thread on me I would probably just send them their money back with a note saying that's TF

I have had a very good experience with Cooper Flags. They do top notch work.

I've got an order in w/ Ed at Cooperflags right now... some magnetic meatballs for racing numbers. I've got a deadline (a track day) that I clearly communicated to him when placing the order (giving him over 3 weeks to do the job)

He has been amazingly patient with me and traded several emails back and forth about color, size, materials... Even if he didn't support my local club and the Dragon w/ free items, deals, etc., I'd go back just because of his stellar service.

Maybe the first poster didn't give us the whole story but, it might have been nice if he/she would have given Ed a call/email first to check on the status of the order rather than NAM-bashing Cooperflags. It's possible that he/she did make a call, and just didn't post about it. As mentioned above, the type of work they do is highly custom, so things have to be made from scratch.

You will get your item, but he's less than swift. Took a couple weeks on both sets I have ordered from CF, which I wish he would of said something to that effect on his website. I don't care to wait for good work, but the first time it was for a friend who was only in town one week so I could put them on for him. Needless to say, he left with an unstriped MINI :(

After the 2nd set taking just as long, I'll either use another company or a local shop next time. It only takes a few minutes to cut the graphics so I'm not sure why it takes so long. I could maybe understand for a hard custom job, but not the everyday normal bonnet stripes.

All that said, the graphics are TOP quality and perhaps worth the wait...if you have the time to wait.

It seems the faster our technology gets the more impateint we become. Many of the vendors get slammed(super busy) around major events(MITM)(Montery) So put on some flannel and chill. . With your sig I figured you be in Seattle for Hemp Fest anyway. Good luck

It was the same way with me and CF, kept waitting for the money to come to of my account but nothing so I called and you have to leave a message and CF called me back later that same day. He told me that he doesn't charge the account till after the product is done and ready to ship, he did a great job on the roof graphic and the material is of great quality. If you don't hear anything in a couple of weeks call and leave a message.

Wow! Harsh title.

Lets start from the beginning. The order was placed on 8/11 (Friday) and based on the first page of the website, stripes usually ship 6-8 Business days from the order date (we will explain why later). This would have the oder shipping between the 21st and the 23rd. As for your email received on 8/18 inquiring why the funds had not been deducted from your account, I replied on the same day explaining that we process the billing when the order is ready to ship, which would be Monday or Tuesday.

There are a few reasons we ask for what seems to be a lot of time for a standard order. The first being that Christian and I run two full time businesses and he goes to collage. Other then Cooper Flags I have a full time graphics installation company with four installers, we install ever thing from full bus wraps, interior wall murals, retail graphics packages, and full wrap vehicles like trucks and vans. Second, the turnaround time also depends on the number of orders in production. We do the best we can, and we understand that everyone wants there order yesterday. We are trying to shorten the time it takes to get the orders out, however, we will not compromise quality for quantity.

I would like to thank everyone that posts positive comments and feedback on their experience with Cooper Flags, and to let you know we really appreciate it. It seems that the few times an order doesn't go as it should, it spreads like wild fire, but thats ok, we need to know if someone wasn't satisfied with or service or products, thats how we learn and grow.

Again, thank you.

Ed
