I notice lately when making sharp turns (even going slow) with my 05 Mini Conv. my car seems to make a squeeking/squealing noise, almost like I've peeled around a corner really fast. I've also noticed sometimes when I'm backing out of a parking space and start to turn I get a sort of a grinding/rattling coming from the car. Any ideas? Are they related? My next tune up isn't for 8k miles, should I have this looked at?

I finally took the car in, they said they couldn't find any issues. I know I'm not going crazy. Oh well, when it falls apart maybe they will believe me then.

 

Could it be the Power Steering? I've been noticing a noise when I'm turning into a parking space.
