"They look flat black"
Yup, I noticed that a couple days ago. I think SSR's anthracite is usually pretty light, even compared to other companies' anthracites, so either the description is wrong or they posted the wrong picture.
It's also odd that they say "Type-C" on them. Used to be they called these wheels Competitions in the U.S. and Type-C everywhere else.....I think.
SSR went bankrupt and the company that took them over transfered production to another facility, I think, and all the new "SSR" wheels of this type will be called "Type C" and not, Type C there and "Competition" over here. More sizes will return to production but I was told TR doesn't know exactly which sizes will be coming back and which won't.
he said North American, not North American Motoring
as mentioned above the SSR Competition was exclusive to TR and differed from the Type-C by having a machine lip and using a (ugly) center cap. Looks like these new Type-C's also take center cap too
I have the old competitions in Anthr. with polished lip. they are 17x7.5 and weigh 11lbs each!! the new ones at tirerack weigh 14lbs. each too bad they got heavier..

not to question your integrity, but.....have you weighed them? on another thread i have posted about some 16" SSR comps for sale that weigh about 11 lbs. i know that the newer type C's are slightly heavier than the earlier comps, but i don't believe that the difference was three pounds. just checking...
here is a set of SSR type C-RS on my royal grey....
my car looks totally different w/ these wheels vs. my HRE street wheels. i like the more aggresive appearance for my track wheels.
OOooo thanks for posting! I think it's absolutely lame that a company designs something with caps that can fall off.
What does the wheel look like without the center caps? I keep hearing about everyone removing theirs?
Since you have the Type-C RS that means they are 17" right? Are you running 215/40 or 215/45's in your pic?
Looks great
