MINI Takes The States: any Alabama participants?

I got my registration packet yesterday. I signed up for it knowing that I probably couldn't go but didn't want to miss out on some free goodies from MINI.

I am considering zipping up to Nashville for the concert on Monday the 28th, but can't make any promises until I know my teaching and class schedule.

You're so smart. I'm reading about all the kits and feeling left out already. (Of course I'm not going.)

Anything good?

I'm all about the free goodies from MINI!

The window sticker is neat and it came with a travel-log diary sort of thing that looks like it could be fun to use on road trips. I also got one of the MINI Quarantine Kits so I don't have to go out and buy a magazine I don't want just to get one.

If I don't go, I'll give you one of the live-strong style red MINI wristbands if you'd like one for your collection of MINI things. ..

If you have extras of anything, I've got several binders full of extra stuff I have collected over the years that I keep for trading. We'll have to get together and sort through our goodies some time!

I received my package in the mail yesterday. Sjolly and I, and our wives, plan to head over to Tunica Sunday to stay the night. I've heard it's about 30 minutes from Memphis so Monday morning we are going to meet up with the group and head to Nashville.

The hotels in Memphis, the ones I checked, were sort of expensive. I'm sure there are cheaper ones but I don't know the area. I wouldn't like to miss the trip due to how hard it is to drive a MINI without wheels.

I got my package and I like the idea of going to Tunica, but alas I have too many things and events on the same weekend. I want to go, I want to go, please let me go. Nope just as I guessed I'm not dreaming and I won't be going. Hopefully someone who is going will document everything with pics and vids.

Harold, my best plan so far is to miss the road trip part of it and go to Nashville for the music festival. That way I could make it just a one-day event.

I am also toying with the idea of waking up at 0-dark o'clock, motoring to Memphis, motoring to Nashville with everyone, and then motoring back late at night. . . . .

I registered and got my packet and hope to go up to Nashville on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning early, but at this point its doubtful. A Monday will be hard for me with school already started. (Why a Monday??? Darn, darn, darn!)

I know. It is odd that they didn't do the music festival on Sunday rather than Monday. Lots more of us would have been able to go. I'll still keep trying to see what I can do to make it to Nashville for the party. . .

I'll be in Nashville Sunday night and Monday night, driving back to B'ham sometime on Tuesday. Well worth 2 days vacation.
