Invisi-shield in Germany...

Well, I went into the Autohaus in Pressath, some town out in BFE. Finally putting on the bonnet strips this week.

A couple of questions for you American-German MINI owners. I asked the parts manager if they have the invisi-shield for the MINI's here in Germany, he said that in Germany they don't sell those. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has looked into it, or has found someone here that does a good job on installing it in Germany. I know they have them in the states, but I won't be home with my MINI for quite sometime.

Second, they didn't have the rubber S mats for the MINI. I have seen them as an option on the MINIUSA build-your-MINI website, but haven't found a place where I can order them.

Any help would be most appreciated, one mod at a time, that's my motto.

MINI cooper "S" Rubber floor mats here: Mats

And I would say order the invisi-shield from the US but coming through customs and everything you would never get it b/c of the compressed air can.

Brethan,

I work on Graf now and have order things via these groups before. Very good and they will deliver to APO.

Moss mini carries the paint protectors (invisisheild).

You may have seen me driving around in my PS/B with bonnet stripes.

Hey daflake,
I believe I have seen you driving around, as you can see I have the SB and tomorrow will p/u her up with silver bonnet strips. Thanks for the info, did you order the invisibra for your mini, or have you known people to buy and install them?

I had the same problem with the mats. Instead of getting the "S" mats, I ended up getting the European MINI version of the rubber or "Gummifussmaten" mats. They fit perfect in the MINI and they hold alot of mostuire. Its a great and very durable all weather mat and the price is cheap when ordering straight from the dealer.

LOL, I probably waved at ya! I have not installed the invisishield on my car as I am not real fond of it. I've only read about people doing it and most say that it is not real hard if you take your time. Definetly a weekend project.

I ordered the 3M film from AutoPaintGuard and they shipped to an APO if y'all are Active Getting someone to install it (If you're not comfortable DIY) may be worth researching beforehand though. I finally found a place that said they could do it... but wound up having to ship it back stateside shortly thereafter

Hope that helps

BTW, I hate you ALL (I'm in Autobahn-Withdrawl)

I got the X-pel clearbra installed on my X-Terra before I shipped it over here and I swear by it. I got a kit for my wifes Cooper S and the local installer jacked up the hood piece. The manufacture replaced it for free. I plan a rip to Belgium to a certified installer in the spring.
