Am I the only MINI owner who has ever lusted after another MINI color after buying theirs? I actually drooled over a cutie I saw yesterday ...I think it's pepper white or a cream color...oops, I don't know the name..sorry. It just kind of spoke to me. Am I being horrible to my liquid yellow baby for really liking the other cool colors I've been seeing on the road? Or am I just a MC glutton?

 

The one color that for the life of me, I can not understand why it was dropped is Indie Blue. Hyper Blue just looks hyper (no offense to any Hyper Blue owners; Indie Blue is just better in my opinion). My second choice was BRG, but if Indie Blue had been available, I would be driving an Indie Blue MCSa today.

 

but it was a MC color only! I would have had to wait for an 03, so I said hell with blue, I'll get red! TonyB has the color I wanted and every time I see his car I realize how much I liked the Indie Blue..... Mini color decisions are really wierd.

It's only for the cabrio's which makes sense, I guess . Don't get me wrong, I love my space blue. The cool blue is a nice touch on the MINI as well.

yes It's Pepper White, and it is definitely the color with the most class!

 

I'm happy with my CR/W...but when I do even think of another color its LY or EB, or any bright, cheerful color. Enough with the grays, silvers, tans, and other drab colors on so many of today’s cars...put some spice back in the highway visuals.......like the 50's

 

I just saw a Hot Orange for the first time and I really liked it!

 

EB/W is the only other color that I liked, but I really liked Solid Gold.

 

Did someone say they were "seeing green with envy"?

 

I haven't even gotten my mini yet and I'm already lusting after other colors! I am very happy with my BRG order and have no doubt that I will be staring at my mini all the time - but I am completely destracted by all the colorful minis that I see every day on my drive home from work. Boston seems to have a very high mini quotient.

If Cool Blue would have been available for MCS, that would have been my color choice. However, I am EXTREMELY happy with my LY baby!

Reasons to love LY:

• LY is no longer available
• LY doesn't show the dirt as much as other colors
• I'm usually the only (or 1 of a couple) LYs when we go on Runs - it's great being unique!
• Lots of happy vibes from the color

 

After having one of those drab DS/W MCS for a year I went with the HB/W over the AB/AB I could have gotten. Love the cheerful hyper blue. However while Zippy is in the shop I have a SB/SB S loaner with tartan red cloth/leather. It sure does look snazzy. I feel like I'm looking at another woman. I just sure hope Zippy doesn't catch me peeking.

 

When I ordered my car it was a toss up between PS/S and EB/EB and I went with PS and some days I wish I went with EB.

 

I still love the IB/B combination, although I don't know if I'd be willing to give up my EB/W for it. It's just so hard to choose with all of these fantastic colors! Just ask 2Miniacs, who still can't decide if he wants the EB/W or the HB/B! I keep worrying that the next time I go home he'll steal my keys and force me to take the Hyper Blue one.

 

When I was deciding on color.....It came down to heritage -vs- good looks....I choose heritage .......So I choose white top and stripes first then picked the color that looked best.....I choose Indi blue....IMO the best color combo for the heritage....but I am soooo sick of blue 3 of my last 4 cars have been blue!......I think today I would chose CR/W if I were to order again

 

I love the variety of colors that MINI has offered over the years but I gotta say that NONE of them make me regret my choice of IB/W. I was never even a fan of blue cars before, but when I walked into the showroom and saw the IB in person that was IT. There was no debate. When Purple Haze was announced, I had hoped it might be more like the Daytona Violet that I had on my old BMW, in which case I'd have had serious thoughts of trading in. Fortunately for Nittany and my wallet, Purple Haze turned out to be totally different than I was hoping, so IB is still by far my favorite.

 

I agree, picking the color (besides waiting for it to arrive) is the toughest part of getting a MINI. I was trying to decide between Hyper Blue and the Space Blue. (I don't think I've seen any Space Blue MINIs in Oklahoma!) I finally decided on Hyper Blue with Silver roof and mirrors (her name is "Hyper J"....J being my first initial), and I'm very happy with it. Maybe my NEXT Mini will be Space Blue!

 

I LOVE the hot orange. I almost got purple haze - space blue was teasing me... but I ultimately went with Jet Black. So, yeah. There's definitely some envy of other colors.

 

I had a different favorite color combo just about every week for about a year until I finally ordered mine. Wound up with all Jet Black and have since added dark silver stripes. And I love it, especially after a fresh coat of wax! But I still love em all and if I ordered again it would probably be Chili Red, probably with Black roof (today, that is )

I love BRG... and the fact it's metallic really doesn't bother me. I would have chosen BRG "fer sure" if not for one other fact... I already have a car that is a beautiful green - my Mustang (i.e. my "other car"... as old as it is compared to my MINI), which I had custom painted about 5 or 6 years ago. In the end, for the MINI, Hyper Blue became the most obvious choice... and now that I've had it for a while, I am VERY happy with the decision. It's a great color that really jumps out at you!

I personally like Yellow & am looking forward to the new "07" yellow!!!
The white looks like a porcelain toilet bowl to me (sorry those white MINI owners)!!!

 

What, no votes for astro black yet? Alright, maybe it's not a COLOR per se (but there are pretty blue flecks in the paint!) but I love it

 

Until a club barbecue on Sunday, I really hadn't seen Astro Black much... but the fact that in the sunlight I first thought it was Space Blue proves (to me at least) that it was a mistake to drop Jet Black! I think Astro Black is OK... but those blue flecks are a mistake, IMO.
