Quarantine Kit

Anyone see the quarantine kit for MINI Takes the States in Wired Magazine?

I thought it was pretty cute myself. My HR got a good laugh out of it.

You know I just got my copy the other day but haven't opened it yet... my stack of magazines waiting to be read right now is HUGE...

Guess I need to go check it out...

The Owners Lounge on MiniUSA site has an interactive quarantine section. My boss might not believe it...he has good ears.

As a matter of fact, my wife just brought me this last night. They get Wired at her place of work and she took it out of the magazine for me

Yep, got mine yesterday.

Take a look at the article in that issue on page 86, about how cars with transponder keys are still fairly easily stolen. No specifics about the MINI, so maybe some of the various ways to bypass the system don't apply. Pretty scary, though, that your insurance company may deny a claim because they feel the car can, in no way, be stolen if you still have all of your keys.

Well people are saying their cars are now being stolen, but details like "Did you or did you not leave your keys in the car?" are missing.
