Aero Kit

Alright, it's really not a performance mod, but it makes it look "fast". Ordered my kit from Classic MINI ($800) and installed it last weekend. Boy, does this add to the appearance of the Cooper.

This price is less than half the retail price. Call Steve at Classic.

I could not agree more. I had it put on at the dealer before I picked up the car. I saw the car before it was installed, and then when I picked it up with the Aero kit it looked amazing!!

I'm a fan... I need to pull the middle grill on mine as they forgot to paint black behind it. I'm also working on new stickers for the back bumper that will be photo's of the front bumper honycomb. SHould be more to my taste than the supplied stickers.

I also think the kit adds so much to the MC. I retained the chrome grill on mine I don't really care for the stickers on the back.

Red Ryder, you wouldn't happen to want to sell your front bumper skin, would you?

I assume it's Chili Red? I've been looking high and low for an 05+ skin for my Cooper in CR...

If I knew how to get these in the body of the text I would do it. Unforturnately you are going to have to enlarge the thumbnails.

Looks nice!! I am not a fan of the rear air dam but the side skirts and front air dam look great. Overall, an B+. Watch out for curbs and wheel stops when parking.

True, they only have certain colors. Since these are supposed to be for Coopers and Dark Silver is not a Cooper color (I think) they propably do not have it in that color.

Be sure to talk with Steve at Classic. The first person quoted me $225 to ship. Steve quoted $138, shipped to a business. BTW, shipping to a business was $60 less than shipping to a residence.

As far as what is included, everything!! The only pieces that aren't included is the cover for the tow hook in the front grill, and the black vinyl around the fog lights.

Wow, those kits look great!!
I am about to order some from Classic.
Just wondering what the door-sills looks like...do they paint that too?? (where the metal "Mini Cooper" plate sits. Anyone have a photo?
Also, i cant afford the whole kit so im going to buy just the side skirts. I think it will look good still

The skirts are all body color except on the ends where they're black to match up with the wheel arches - that includes the sill area. They come without sill plates. If you want them you have to either VERY carefully remove the ones you already have (they're stuck on well and easy to bend) or buy new ones.

So, did you buy an aerokit? I know there are a lot of pics of them around but if you're hunting for pics of one on an Indi Blue MC there are a few pics of mine in my gallery.

Not yet, I am debating between coilovers and this body kit. With shipping, they are very close in price, so I have to decide what I want.

The dealership just repainted my rear bumper under warranty, and fixed some minor body issues all under warranty, so not sure I want to go and replace everythign right now. I have had coilovers in the Cooper before, just running the stock suspension at the moment, but one day want to go back. But since I am not tracking the car anymore, not sure if I really want to go back to the much lower stance I had before. As a family, we use it for fun evenings out, and that is about it, we both have other daily drivers, but now the Cooper is so comfortable, not sure I want to go back to the rough ride...it still handles great on stock suspension.

So, I have some SERIOUS thinking to do......and I know the Indi Blue Aero kit will not be going anywhere soon since it is for a Cooper, and the color is discontinued.

thanks for the gallery pics, that helps...can you get pics closer up of the wheel arches...they look painted black....which is what the kit from Classic is, not sure if I am a fan the black paint next to the bare plastic. Would just like to see a closer shot of the difference. Do you have the rear bumper on? Can you get me a pic of that as well?

Thanks
Jon
