Front Plate mounting Location...

Finally got my new plates and used this location for the front:

Front plate was cut down slightly to fit but is still legal. No cooling issues so far.

Rear plate is normal size and is where registration decals are required in BC:

Great location for that front plate. I've been running illegally for 2 years without one because I couldn't bring myself to drilling holes in a perfectly good bumper.

How did you attach to the lower grille?

Behind the grill at the top of the plate is an aluminum bar, likely part of the bumper structure. Simply drilled holes in the bar and used self tapping black screws with washers. Alternatively, you could tap the bar and use a proper bolt.

Not really true because you're blocking airflow to the radiator...

Wow, this never occurred to me. Where do I take my mini to get a front plate mounted? I have to have one on?

Lot's of folks blocking that area with Quad (hella, Alta) lamps without heat buildup.
