Pulley and Plugs?

I am leaning toward an Alta 17% pulley on my to be delivered MCS and am trying to decipher :impatient the advantage / need for colder plugs ...Denso IK22's or NGK Iridium IX's.

Have heard, stay with stock plugs, IK22's were sluggish to they smoothed things out ....am open to recent experiences / suggestions on route to take.

Also have determined via NAM, that new wires are more about show than go!!

Thanks for the help ...

Waylen was doing a ton of pulley installs at MME, and gave the owners the option of sticking with their OEM plugs or getting iridium ones. He would take them for a drive, and then switch the plugs and take them back out for another drive. EVERYONE went to the iridium plugs, so I guess there WAS a difference.

Randy Webb has found that on a car with a pulley, the Denso Iridium IK22 plugs provided an extra 2 HP. Not much, in the great big scheme of things, I know. But then again, that's just from changing the spark plugs. So, when he changed my pulley, I had him put in the plugs, too.

No, I don't think you'd notice any performance increase from just a plug swap, but if you're trying to wring as much horsepower out of your engine as me, then it seems like a logical upgrade.

Everyone! Those are some sensitive butt dynos. However, the performance difference on the street would be indiscernible. Concerning wires let me direct you to the Magnecore web site so you can read all about them. http://www.magnecor.com/

People have also said the cars seem to run smoother. But that is also subjective to someone's butt-dyno.

Also this thread is in the suspention thread which doesn't help it get attention.
