FREE CAR for a weekend

We just visited VW dealer last weekend and they're trying to sell me a GTI!

I just went to the AUDI dealer to get a touchup paint for my S4. When I came back to the car the sale person from the VW was there and he offered me to take this GTI for a weekend to see if I like it. This one is stock with only DSG option. I could get it for $22K, but I would get one in white.

I think I like it a lot. I can get to 31 mpg easily vs. my S4 would be 19 mpg. Handling is real neutral...no pushing no over-steer. Exhaust sound is absolutely amazing up from the factory. There is no need for getting an aftermarket one. The Sound is just the same as Miltek on a MINI. The power is almost identical to my wife A3, but driving a GTI is making me feel like totally different car.

I feel like I'm driving a MINI again. It's small and it's fast. Although, S4 has such a freaking power that I could never ask for more with AWD that never let me worry when I taking a corner at 80mph, but I do miss a small compact car.

you're not going to sell your S4 for the veedub, right?
you're going to keep your S4 and get the veedub is the correct
answer.

I'm keeping the S4.

Ordered a white GTI with DSG $23K and It should be here wednesday. I'm excited!

I was thinking a lot about MINI, since I sold it. Although, S4 is a great car, but small and compact is where my heart is.

Congrats. on your new GTI.
I also thinking about a stripper GTI too. Since their options are very pricy. (esp. if you want heated seat, you need to add a $3k option for it )
BTW, I wish you already know the 4dr. GTI is on it's way. It will be more practical with 2 more doors.

Besides the power, how else does the GTI compare to the A3? I'm thinking about the A3 w/DSG, but the GTI seems to be a very similar car for about $10K less. I had a 2001.5 A4 1.8TQ prior to my first MINI, and I loved that car.

Thanks Ken!

What I mean is I'm keeping the S4 and getting the GTI as well. I love the compact, so GTI will be a weekend and track car.

Yes, 4 doors will be here sometime at the end of the year, but I just need a strip down GTI just for weekend and track. I missed all of the action since I got the S4, because it's too nice to abouse it.

It's depend on your priority. If you need more doors A3 is the way to go, unless you want to wait for the 4 doors GTI. AUDI comes with 4 years 50K miles warrantee and service. Basically all of the services are free just like a MINI. VW has the same 4 years warrantee, but you will have to pay for the oil change which is not much or you could do it yourself.
