Red MINI, White MINI, and Blue MINIS needed for July 4

Anyone who lives in or around the Pacific Palisades area who is interested in participating in the PP 4th of July 5K/10K road race (running, sorry ). I am trying to get a red MINI, a white MINI, and a blue MINI (MC, MCS, MCSC, Classic - no matter) to start the race ahead of the runners. Organizer and I are mini enthusiasts and would like to tie some balloons to the cars and have the cars lead the runners after the gun goes off....patriotic and fun and over in about five minutes!!!

First come, first serve for each color (or maybe more is better)

Race starts at 8:15 AM sharp (would need to arrive by 0745 at the latest)

For exact location and other details, reply here or PM.

Thanks

Umm...I have seen quite a few red, white and blue MINIs but only because they are covered in union jacks. And since July 4th signafies our independence from the brits that we beat in battle, I dont think the union jacks would be very appropriate. Good luck with this one.

I grew up in Pacific Palisades. I can assist with my Indi Blue and White Cooper. I'm based in Marina Del Rey.

Not sure how balloons will work on the MINI's unless we're driving like 5mph.

Let me rephrase

Should I rephrase: red MINIs, white MINIs and Blue MINIs NOT red, white, and blue MINIs............

GREAT! If you are serious, show up at the library in the palisades just off Sunset at 7:45 and ask for Brian Shea (organizer) or Dr. Modabber (me - likely in or near the first aid tent)...we will set you up.

Will do! Let me know if you're still looking for other MINI's. Maybe I can scrounge up a few.

Well, I have a red, white and blue MINI. But I'm going to F1 this weekend at Indy and am spending the week with the folks in the midwest.

We're on!

We are still on for the race. Brian Shea (race organizer) will be driving his daughter's silver MC and I told him last night to be on the lookout in the AM for some others... I will be lurking around the medical tent/first aid/start line area so just track one of us down when you arrive. Early is best as the start area gets VERY CONGESTED closer to start time.

See you there;

Thanks for showing up and it was great meeting you. The pictures are great and I passed them on to Brian.

When my MINI arrives later this month we'll have to hit the pavement.

Glad you enjoyed it;
