New Lights Part Deux

Ok, I've added a few more lights and moved them back down from the Bonnet.

Hella Black Magic...so freakin' sweet! I would love to see more closer up pics and see how you installed those. Also, where'd you put the switches for them? Looks stunning and I want to do the exact same thing when I get my DS/B in a couple weeks.

Pardon for not searching back on past threads but are you using the Alta light bar?

I'll post some better pics when I finish moving the switches. I'm still debating on whether or not to leave them on the left of my parcel shelf or to bring them between the seats and mount them on either side of the mirror control.

BTW: I used 4 outmotoring mounts which were a breeze to install! I did have the Alta bar, but could only fit 2 lights on it because it designed for 6" lights not 7". The other reason I made the change was because he IPF lights were just toooo chromey and the Black Magics fit much better with my theme.

Also, be prepared... this light mod is a little pricey

Brackets: $300
Black Magics: $500

I already have a pair of Black Magic on my Blazer so I can take those off. I would just have to buy a new pair. What does your switch look like? Because on my blazer the switch is a big green switch. So big. There's no way I can fit that next to the mirror control. Did you change up the switch?? Also, what are outmotoring mounts?? Is outmotoring a company?

Finally, how can you aim these? Up and down? Side to side? Are they fixed?

Looks incredible man!!!!

Looks real good! I'm running the same brackets, different lights.

I put the switches on the ends of the console panel where the mirror control is and they fit fine with some minor reshaping of some ribbing on the back of the plastic panel. I think that location is where the switches for the heated seats go. Might be interesting to pick up a couple of seat heat switches and repurpose them.

This is all your fault after I bought the Altal Bar I saw pics in your post when installed yours and it started the whole Black Magic idea... so I thank you and my wife is still not happy that I've spent over $1400 total on lighting mods alone :impatient

To answer the other question; the light will adjust side to side quite a bit and the up and down will adjust about 1/4 past the verticle before it rubs on the bumber.

I want to know as well. Also, did you set them up one switch for each light? :P Also, do you think the switch could be mounted o the stock kick plate? I personally don't like the Euro tray thingie. I've decided on the Hella "Angel Eyes" Optilux lights, and I want a cool switch as well.
