The "I Did It All Myself" Club

Ok, with 50 million other clubs out there already, i figured i would start this one!

I know there are at least a few of you out there,

But i would like to know how many of you actually doo ALL the mods on your car yourself?

I know myself that i have single handedly done EVERY SINGLE MOD on my car myself. Every oil change was done with my two hands. All 3 Pullies ive had on I've put on myself with tools I made. When i had to to bodywork on my back bumper, i did the bodywork then painted it then installed it.

Cmon, i know there are at least a few of us out there, the crazy ones that love to work on our cars too much or just cant afford to have someone else do the dirty work for you!

Hey I'm in. Not all that many but did them all myself. 15% pulley, painted calipers, Alta CAI, Alta CC, wheels, frosted (ghost) flames, front grill, light bar (even modified so its the only one like it) Sat. radio install, plugs, WMS extreem sway bar, Alta lower control arms, forge header tank, new brakes, a few oil changes, VGS, little mod to the CAI, and ........ I think thats it .

I won't get started on the classic Mini, although most are just to keep it running

Nik

Edit.....oooh, forgot auto up

I'm in, letting the dealer do the BS stuff while I'm under warranty, but that doesn't mean I haven't gone tinkering and making custom parts.

Sign me up. Sway, intake, Auto-up, alarm, anthracite dash, '06 stereo, interim oil change, numerous wheel swaps/tire rotations. A short list, but all mine! Doing it myself helps me justify what I spend...

I mod everything. Work on everything. And if I could, I'd do the warranty work myself as well.

I installed the LightInSight and glove box organizer. Also installed Koni FSDs while learning a few new words.

I have done all of mine except the pulley. It was done by Chad at Detroit Tuned. I also did all my stripes, pics in gallery.

Yea me too! I've done EVERYTHING myself.

Too bad that's only painting the side repeater lights and a HAI!

Well, I haven't done everything, but I sure have done a lot and have done most any job that I had confidence doing myself. I guess that disqualifies me from the club, but I sure do like doing stuff myself and have a lot of fun doing it.

Guess I am in also....just installed the factory Sirius radio. I have the CAI sitting in the box, just waiting to get a few more miles on her. The Mini is on blocks right now while the wheels are getting powder coated. I put the Mini on the block and took the wheels off all by myself.

I'm guilty as charged:

Air horns
Aux lights
Intake mod-cone open element filter
Silver grill-intercooler
Silver grill-radiator
Silver grill-2 rear bumper inserts
4th brake light
Union Jack roof
Leather shift boot & Leather e-brake boot
Painted calipers and rotors
Intake mod-opened up back wall for cowl vent air access
Jackson Racing plug wires
Sirius radio
Oil catch can
Painted checkers for SC left side-black and white
Battery shut-off switch with fuse
Aux input for Sirius
Checker headlight covers
Fire extinguisher-installed, in boot.
Sealed off CAI.

Next:
One-ball or aftermarket exhaust-I think I can tackle this one.
15% pulley-I think I'll be paying someone to do this! Don't know who just yet though. Anyone in Miami need some $$ and can do this? : )

I mod everything myself. I can't think of a better way to bond with my car. I had hundreds of hours on my VW Beetle and it got totaled over the winter. My Mini (I wanted one when I bought my Beetle but couldn't find one) is well on its way.
