Still some black masking on this but you can see more than on some of the other pics.

 

I think we've seen the last two quite a bit, but I'm pretty sure the top pic is the first silver '07 to be circulating around. Then again, I might be missing something, too

 

If you look at the antennas it looks like it's the same black car in all the pics. (Except the first one of course )

so the rumors of the S not having a hood scoop is false given the photos above.

I think i would consider an 07... just shakey on the reliability factor... i suppose in three years time i can afford to trade in my MCS and get a 2010 JCW.

Honestly...it looks pretty much the same. I mean, the only difference is the little hump on the back, the bonnet is more "swooped" back, and it looks like a slightly remodled body kit.

Dare i say.... i am starting to like the 07 mini more and more...

 

I think this should be how the 2001-2006 mini should have looked its more simple, is that what their tageting for, I hope they make good extras like aero kits and stuff.

but at least it still looks like a mini. I just hope they paint the bumpers for all models of mini, and not make it as a "trim" thing, like black bumpers for lower models and body colored for cooper and S models (since their trying to cut costs and all that)

 

I think that there's not really much we can infer from most of these spy shots, as the cars are so covered up, other than that the design has (thankfully) not changed too radically. I don't think we can make too many final judgements on anything until the fall when pictures of the final car are officially released. All I know is I'm gonna go for the '06 and then wait for the '13 turbo diesel

 

I do like the new JCW antenna!

 

I went with the 06 because I liked it & it's supercharged engine so much. The turbo scared me with it's turbo lag & Peugeot engine. Seeing these pictures eases my mind a bit. It still looks like a MINI.

 

IMO the 2007 looks like a 2006 after Chris Bangle and Dr. Frankenstein did a little Photoshop modification. Eventhough the difference is subtle I don't think the lines of the 2007 are as "clean" as the current model.

 

Yes not as pretty as the current MINI, but not the abomination I feared. Thank God!
