What's the typical PSI on OE 17" Dunlops?

My '06 Cooper S has Dunlop 205/45 R17 SP Sport 9000 DSST tires. I see on the sidewall that the maximum pressure for this tire is 51psi. Mine had 32 psi in them when I drove it off the lot.

What is a common PSI for this tire that would provide the best mix of good wear, decent ride, and fuel economy ?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks-
Randy

As I recall, the manual on my 04 suggested 33-34 so I'd say your in the ball-park.

those DSST's tend to easily have flat spot memory, so i recommend
36-37 psi.

but for comfort, 33-34 would be ideal.
