Sport Link, anyone?

Does anyone have a sport link? Or bike rack of any sort for their minis? If so, please let me know what you have, what you think of it, if it has done any damage to your car, and if you have any pictures, please post! I've been thinking about the sport link - was quoted $850 installed. I bought a new bike recently and want a way to get around with it. Can anyone help a girl out?

I have a dealer installed Sportlink. No pictures with it, too ashamed to take pictures now until I give it a good wash. I am in Lake County if you want to take a look.

Sport Link

I have the sportlink, bike rack and hitch attatchments. I love the bike rack. I did scuff the bumper once with one of the pedals, just need to keep a close eye one it when putting bikes on and taking off. I haven't used the hitch yet. I did the install myself. It really isn't all that bad if you are somewhat mechanically inclined.

I'll see if I can post some pics later.

edit: I found a couple of pics from during and after the install.

Do you have a white roof? if so think about going with a Thule roof top rig. I have one and love it. I have posted on here before if you search the work "rack" or "bike" you should find it. If not send me your email and I'll email you a pic. If you want to see it 1st hand we can do that too.

White roof?? - because the black one will scuff with a Thule or Yakima rack? I was thinking this would happen.

I have a black roof and just purchased the feet for my Yakima setup. I had intended to go with the Thule (I think their clips are better) but could not justify the cost of buying everything brand new again.

Anyways - I'm planning on buying some clear bra plastic and apply cut to size bits on my roof to try and prevent damage. Plus it will help me with future placement of the towers and bars.

Wow that piece is brilliant. I was wondering how one would do a Specialized or similar (Trek in your case of course) bike. So my question....what exactly is that piece and where did you pick it up? My Diamond Back has a straight bar like an old school mountain bike, but all my buddies have Specialized. That looks an awful lot like "the Club." Same Idea?

It is a crossbar substitute or adapter. Most bike shops carry them.
