I was driving around town tonight and I heard this weird Gurgling sound near the stearing wheel that almost sounds like its inside the car whenever i drive. Its sounds like gurgling liquid that goes on and off randomly, though i never hear it when i am at a stop light. engine temp and oil temp are fine. any help?

is it something with the steering wheel fluid or pump?

 

The gurgling sound you hear is from coolant passing through the lines. When air gets trapped in the hoses it will make that sound while the coolant sloshes around. There are some threads addressing this issue currently circulating.

I like 002’s instruction to fill the hose through the forward bleeder as well as the surge tank to reduce air gaps.

 

should i be worried about my car overheating since coolant is having trouble getting through? i am making an appointment at the dealership anyways...thanks!
