I'm looking to buy a new helmet most likely online, but I would like to try on different sizes before I purchase one. I was wondering if any had any recommendations on where to go preferably around the northwest suburbs, but I'm willing to make a trip (especially in the MINI ).

 

I wanna know too! and its even better if they've got seats as well. And don't write off buying from a local vendor just yet, see if they will price match an online source, it helps build local relations with a shop.

I'm just gonna take a wild guess here, but since the OP posted this in the Chicago MINI club list, I'm betting he's talking about the nw suburbs of Chicago.

But that's just a WAG on my part.

Northstar Motorsports in Barrington has helmets as well as a side array of safety equipment. They have several models of helmets that you can try. The Windy City BMW message board just had this same question and it was noted that Chicago Indoor Racing in Buffalo Grove also has a shop in the building which includes helmet sales.
