April 30 - BSSP Ad Agency Run - Change of Start
BSSP is excited to spend Sunday April 30th with you.
We have had an incredible response for this event and are looking forward to an even bigger turn out. Approximately 50 MINI-owners have RSVP'd!
Below I have written all the details of the run. But, please don't hesitate to email with any questions.
BSSP has one favor to ask of you: Please bring your video camera. We will provide DV tapes and collect them at the end. Then we will edit the footage down to a short film/documentary made by you, for you.
We will be meeting AT THE AGENCY (10 liberty ship way, Sausalito CA 94965) at 8:30am. We will have a tent and tables set up. This is where we will have some breakfast (bagels and coffee). For those of you that volunteered a place in your car for those non-MINI-owners, this is also where you'll meet your co-pilot. We will give out DV tapes to those that brought a camera and have a sign up list for those who would like a copy of the film in DVD format. We'll also hand out maps and a little I-spy game to play while motoring.
We would like to stop to take a group picture and will have some cameras along the way to film all the motoring MINIs.
The run ends at the agency. Here we will have lunch waiting. We will give some tours, let you mosey around and even do a short presentation or our work and perhaps an insider's view of our up-and-coming MINI ads. We also have about $800 worth of raffle prizes donated to us by the dealers around the bay area. So many of us will be going home wearing some MINI gear.
Some things to remember:
- be very careful of bikers and joggers - they're all over the place
- be courteous going through all the little towns
- this is not a speed event - so mind the limits
- if another car comes between you and the MINI in front of you, it's ok.
- radios will be tuned to frequency 7-21
- if you have a radio, remember to call out if there are any obstacles, pot holes, or beautiful views along the way
- we will provide contact numbers in case you get lost or fall behind
It's not too late to RSVP to me, Sarah, at sdrake@bssp.com.
FINALLY - I want to give a huge shout out to Larry Paquette of the NorCal MINIs. He has been the main ingredient in the organization of this event.
It should be a great day!
Best,
Your friends at BSSP

East Bay meetup spot
I'm coming from the central valley. Eastbay Mini at 615am then the meet up at IKEA in Emeryville (powell st exit off hwy80) at 7am leaving at 715 sharp. Any Minis are welcome to join us. Chrissy Field has a few events going that morning thats why the starting spot was moved from there. The Presidio might be better for those coming from SF.

Looks like we'll just head to Saus and prob see a bunch or two on the way. We may get there early and grab some brekky (perhaps the the Lighthouse?); bagels are great but I need more protein sustenance if we will be on a long drive before lunch. I'll probably wear my MINI hat (bought before the car was even released, never thought I buy the car actually) so if you see us you'll know
Too bad it was relocated from Chrissy Field, the Darfur Rally appears to be set for later: http://www.uusc.org/darfur/rally.html. At least it doesn't seem like the GG bridge will be problematic to cross until 10 am or so through late morning. The MS walk starts at Mason street in the Presidio at 9am and will follow routes along Crissy Field to the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge; not clear about the timeline but FYI.
