With the fact that my boss owns a nice yellow mini cooper s, I am very curious as to what the real world quarter mile times are?

I am an active member of http://www.maxima.org and http://www.torontomaxima.com.

Us Maxima guys 2k2/2k3 are averaging about 14.2 sec stock for the 6 speeds.

Thanks guys..

Nice board guys!

Ed aka MiniRX7

Forgot the name of my thread, but a while back I had someone post their many runs at a 1/4 mile track and it was about a 15.2 second car at about 92MPH. That was a stock "S" on a track a little under 1,000 ft above sea level.

Well, I'm a total novice at speed shifting and I got to 70 in a 1/4 in 17 sec. Driving a stock Cooper in 20 degree weather on a dry county road in IL. Two witnesses. Four run-flat Dunlops.

I ran a 15.5 this weekend, but I mis shifted in 2nd, so that killed some good time.. I might go on wednesday just to get some practice, and some better times

Are the Mini's geared tall??

I expected a lot lower times say in the mid 14 range considering that they are very light and have a good hp/torque figure for the supercharged motor.

In the corner, the Mini WILL ROCK,

In the straight line, well, the MINI has its work cut out for it .
