Hi everyone. I have a 2004 mcs that came with 17'' rims and dunlop run flat tires.
I several questions:

1. Do my rims take any other type of tire, or only run-flats?
2. What are some good options for tires and rims?
3. If I do change to regular tires, where do I get spare and jack.

If anyone can help, please do.

You can do a 16" wheel as it is stock with the S, and there have been a plethora of threads on this lately in here. I think you can even do a 15", because the Coopers come stock with them. There are lots of different tire sizes out there, but most people are right around 205/50/15, 205/50/16, 205/55/15...to name a few. I'm taking off my 16" runflats soon and am going with a 205/50/16 Falken Ziex 512, as it was highly rated in Consumers Reports recently. Others here like Toyos, Hankooks, Avons, BFGs, GoodYear F 1s, and others...depending on how they plan to run them. As for a jack, you might try eBay, as I just saw one for sale on there today. You'll also need some slime or flat fix, just in case.

Yes, non-runflat will fit.

Depends on application... just daily driver? weekend spirited driving? track?

I use a bottle of Fix-A-Flat and carry an air compressor that works off
of the cigarette lighter. catastrophic failure.... i would use a celphone.
you can use the factory jack that came with your car.
