Run Flat Delete/Spare

What is the popular answer to a spare solution when discarding the run flats?
Mine are near replacing and am considering a non- run flat replacement, but lack of any sort of back up on the occassion of a puncture is troublesome.
Thanks

I put a can of fix-a-flat and a small compressor in a Crown Royal bag and tucked them in the passenger-side panel in the boot. I also make sure my AAA membership is paid up.

I put a donut spare tire behind the passenger seat and push the seat as far
back as it will go. The spare is secure there and makes no noise against the
back of the seat. I had a black bag made for it to fit in.

Being one to cover all options, I hang lucky dice from the mirror, put a bible in the glove compartment, a prayer rug rolled up across the back seat, an orange robe tucked away in the back side panel and a red marker in the door pocket! I thought about carrying a goat but it's just a bit awkward.

But just in case, I also have a fix-it-can and a compressor pump and mini jack (all in the rear side panels). I also have a BMW Roadside Assistance membership and plan to take a spare (my previous RF) on longer drives.

Cheers

Way too funny... With the space saved by leaving out the goat, you should be able to fit a full size tire back there!

I have a compressor tucked away in the left side trunk compartment, a tire repair kit in the right hand compartment and will carry a full size spare on trips.

Dont go running out and buying the $5/can fix it flat at your local auto store because that aint going to do much to help you.

The real goop comes with the MINI Mobility Kit with the proper tool for removing the stem. Another alternative is this. http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...tkit/index.jsp

If you try one of those $5 cans stuck in the desert, lots of luck.

You might want to read Avery Wong's post on another thread about his harrowing adventure in the desert and how the S-lites and runflats saved him. Those S-lites are tough wheels even with a lot of damage, and so are the runflats. Even still, I did the switch and I carry a 15 Min Smart Spair (yea, its spelled that way) kit in the back of my car. It comes with a small compressor and this green Slime stuff. I got it at Track Auto for about $20. I also pray a lot!
