Peircing burp on ingnition start up
I just installed a new head unit using the existing wire harness to obtain the ignition 12v power, the battery power and the ground. When I turn on the ignition the radio at start up gives a peircing burp out my speakers. I presume it is due to the wiring connections as I did not get this sound with my old unit. How should I rewire it? Thanks RR
I fiqured it out. The burp is from the amps being turned on simultaneously with the ignition. If one takes the power to turn on the amps from the remote line from the head unit (DUH! REMOTE) then there is a delay which avoids the ignition surge.
