brake lines/pads

13.6 BRAKES
A. The make and material of brake linings may be changed.
B. Substitution of clutch and brake hydraulic lines with solid metal
or braided metal is allowed on all cars manufactured before
model year 1992.
C. Alternate brake bleeder fittings such as “Speedbleeders” are
permitted. They may serve no other purpose.
Does the above mean you can use stainless steel brake lines?

Also, what's the best brake pad for autocross? I've heard the stock pads might be the best out there. What about the Mintex?

You can use stainless lines AS LONG AS YOUR CAR WAS MADE BEFORE 1992, was yours?

I really like the Ferodo 2500 pads, but they dust like crazy.

The use both the Ferodo DS2500 and the Mintex 1144, (not the Red Box)

These 2 pads work really good.

EBC Stuff pads work really well!

The stock pads work fine. I've never had them fade.

For autocross you don't change the pads because they fade, you change them for more/less braking force, better modulation, etc.....

Thats kind of funny I aways thought if you needed more braking you pushed the peddle harder and if you wanted less you you were a little easier on the peddle.
