Navigation & Audio iPod video w/ dock hooked on Monitor...Questions??

iPod video w/ dock hooked on Monitor...Questions??
Hey guys, I'm trying to make a nice clean set up for my 5G iPod and thought about this, hoping that it's even possible. I'll be using a...
1) 5G iPod with Dock and Remote
2) Aux input for sound
3) Alpine monitor, to view and control iPod on it
Like i said, if possible, would i be able to view my iPod on a Monitor and control it with the remote and dock placed under the window/fogs toggle switches (little compartment under there)? Am i missing anything? Or is this not possible at all?
