i just bought an after market sub and have discovered that i have no idea how to get the power cable from the battery to the rear of the car. any ideas would be great. thanks
Do you have the cigarette lighter/power outlet in your boot/trunk? If so you could tap into that.
I don't think the wires which connect that outlet are built for that kind of power strain. If you are running 300+watt amp you'd need a minimum of 8 gauge wire running it from the front. It's ok to use that outlet as a remote connection, but not for the main power connection.

If you have a high current amp you will need a larger guage power cable than the one that supplies the cigarette lighter. Your amp should have come with recommended guage of power cables, if not contact the store where you purchased it.
I have an aftermarket sub in the back of mine (2003 MC). I ran the power from the engine bay to the interrior of the car from my steering column. Then took off some of my panels and hid it under those. I will try to get some pictures up soon. I am also curious what caused you problems in your MC thefuturequeenofnebraska?
