iPod, 03 and NAV

Ive searched and continue to come up empty handed. It appears to me that the ice link is an expensive option to just have steering wheel controls. Because my MCS is pre 05, i will not be able to see the ID on the HU. So, all you get is a build in connection really? It appears for the money getting a fire wire connection(if possible) and the AUX input is the best option for the money...but i could be missing something. Please help

I'm not sure, but I thought I heard that the AUX input isn't an option for you, because you have the NAV system. I think the NAV uses that Auxilliary port, doesn't it?

Someone reply if you know the facts on this...

If that is true, you're going to have to go with an FM Modulator or the ICE-LINK... (Or a cassette adapter, if you happen to have ordered your MINI with a cassette deck, which is highly doubtful!)

Good luck in your search!

Nope. I have Nav and Aux, works just fine. Apparently you do need to swap the pins from the Aux connector in to the integrated Nav connector, but it definitely works.
