Pre-Order Question

Getting ready to order my new MINI and have a question: Where is the On-board computer located. It would be nice to have but not if it moves the tach or speedo to another location.

Thanks
Justin

The OBC is the display on the tach. You scroll through the display and reset with the button on the turn signal stalk. The tach and speedo does not move if you get the OBC. The speedo moves next to the tach if you order either the navigation system or the chrono pack.

Yeah, it's definitely nice to have the OBC because while you're driving you can easily see how fast you're going instead of glancing over.

But yeah if your speedometer is near your tach then you wouldn't really need it.

There's also other things you can program into your OBC but then it converts to the Metric system instead of English.. so yeah...

Without the OBC you can switch the display on the tach between speed and outside temperature by using the button on the turn signal stalk.

I like being able to see the outside temp. Its a nice warning for me if theres going to be ice on the road or not...

The black ice warning chime does that, too. When the temperature hits 38, you hear a "bing!" My hubby has heard Wanda's, but I missed it...I was sleeping...

oh

I thought opting the OBC causes the tach to be moved to the back of the headrest on the passenger seat.

that's weird. i guess i was wrong.
